Law act as the fundamental framework of the public’s behaviour and therefore, formats the society. Without law the society would be chaos, in every individual society. A society without laws would be a full of conflicts between social groups, the strongest would rule and we would live in a violent, aggressive and therefore wild society.
A law gives us the fundamental framework of interaction with others and regulates our behaviour. Imagine a society without any set of laws… It would be a cruel society without any human rights. As individuals we wouldn’t have most of our rights, we would be frightened to state our opinion in public, as we would be dominated by the strongest. Laws give us social and individual rights (for example the right to own something), as well as regulates our behaviour and manners.
Laws are not there only to regulate our social behaviour but also to make us feel safe in our society and to be used to penalize those who do not follow the state’s laws.
Therefore Pakistan Lawyers is trying to list some of the fundamental principles that make the laws to be important.
The Harm Principle
Laws under the Harm Principle are set to protect individuals from being harmed by others. Violent, crime and property laws within the country are being under the Harm Principle laws. The Harm Principle laws are vital and every government has them, as they are essential for the public safety.
The Parental Principle – Child Law
Parental Principle laws are there to regulate individuals’ actions from harming each other. The Parental Principle is a set of rules against the abandon of children and vulnerable adults. Parental Principle laws are set to protect children and vulnerable adults from abuse and harm and aim to protect those groups from others that might attempt in such actions.
The Morality Principle
Morality Principle laws are usually, but not limited, grounded in religious belief in the country. These laws are the standard everyday laws that regulate our behaviour in interacting with others. However, these laws as we said are not always based around only on religious believes and therefore hate speech, social groups discrimination, racial discrimination and many other related issues are also under and be motivated by the Morality Principle within the country.
The Statist Principle
Statistic Principle is a set of laws aiming to protect the government itself from being harmed by others. These laws are particularly created to increase government power for its own good and prohibit individual and group actions against the government.
Laws are set in order to create a safer environment for us, for our children, and create a better society to live in. Without any laws the society would be ruled by the strongest and the violent would be exercised on the weak. We would have no human rights as individuals, we would feel the discrimination in our society and we would live in a cruel and uncivilised environment.
